Tim Kelley has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur in real estate and project-related finance in Mexico, South America, the U.S. and Africa (Angola). He served as founder, chairman and CEO of KCA International Construction and Facilities Management for over 14 years, and managed over $200 million in projects in Mexico and over 2 million square feet of office, commercial and residential space throughout Latin America. In 2010 and 2011, he was contracted by the U.S. Agency for International Development to advise the Central Bank of Angola (BNA) on regulatory structures for residential real estate finance. Mr. Kelley is a recognized expert in the areas of cross border mortgages, entrepreneurship and international real estate finance. He was featured by Entrepreneur magazine for innovative international entrepreneurship. Currently, he serves as the COO of the Entrepreneur Opportunity Fund; owner and CFO with his wife of two education-related companies with more than 45 employees and several million in gross revenue; and an assistant professor of entrepreneurship and economics at Grand Canyon University. He holds a BA from Gonzaga and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, with additional coursework at Oxford University and Arizona State. He also serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona and the Governor’s Committee on Cross Border Real Estate at the Arizona-Mexico Commission. He is a member of Delta Mu Delta and the International Committee of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. He is also the chairman of the Thunderbird Angel Network and founder and chairman of the Canyon Angels.
Dr. Oke earned her MBA (with Distinction), Post-graduate Diploma in Research Methods, and Ph.D. from Cardiff Business School in the UK, a top research school belonging to the Ivy League of the UK. Cardiff Business School is also AACSB accredited and is rated the 7th leading UK University. Dr. Oke's dissertation title was “Collaboration between firms in inter-organizational networks in the UK: An analysis of key factors." Dr. Ronke Oke is a Graduate fellow and Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior and Management. Her professional experience includes working in various banking positions in Africa and as an associate HR consultant in the UK. Her areas of research are inter-organizational dynamics and inter-firm networking. Dr. Oke has presented at various management conferences in both the U.S. and across Europe and has published articles in peer reviewed academic journals including the “Journal of Change Management” and “Journal of Operations Management”. In addition, Dr. Oke has authored a practitioner paper for the Intelligent Transport Systems in the UK. With about 10 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level, Dr. Oke taught Organizational Behavior, Management, and Human Resource Management in the UK, and she has continued to teach those courses at GCU in both a traditional ground and online class setting. Dr. Oke has taught in the Masters of Science in Leadership Program and teaches in the traditional MBA Program, as well as the Executive MBA Program. As assistant professor of Organizational Behavior and Management, Dr. Oke has oversight of the BSBA and MBA curriculum at GCU. She sits on the Graduate Council and the Institutional Review Board at GCU and is actively involved in the Ed.D and DBA Programs
Kelly Damron teaches accounting courses at Grand Canyon University. Her favorite thing about teaching is watching a student grow from no or limited knowledge to the application or appreciation of the topic. Her strategies in the classroom include practice and support; students practice concepts and problems during class and she is available to answer questions at any time. Ms. Damron holds an MBA and Master of Science in Information Management (MSIM) from the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State. She has traveled to China and New Mexico, and hopes to travel to France and Italy in the next five years. In her spare time, she enjoys reading a good fiction book, watching action movies and spending time with her twin daughters.
Chuck Jarrell earned undergraduate degrees in aerospace engineering and business, as well as an MBA, from West Virginia University. He has a PhD in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from Northcentral University. His dissertation was focused on service quality and brand equity in the online higher education industry. Mr. Jarrell has held senior sales and marketing positions and served in general and executive management roles. He is currently consulting in higher education and teaching online and campus-based courses in management, marketing and business research and statistics at Grand Canyon University. He has spent the past 10 years in the higher education sector. Prior, Mr. Jarrell served as vice president of marketing and recruiting for CEA Global Education, a company offering study abroad experiences for college students. Prior to that, he was vice president of marketing and recruiting for Northcentral University, an online university serving adult students worldwide and focusing on graduate education. His first assignment in higher education was as a member of the development team of Axia College for Apollo Group, Inc. Prior to higher education, Mr. Jarrell served as vice president of marketing for Insight, a reseller of name brand computing products. He also held positions at SmartHealth, a privately held direct marketing firm serving healthcare professionals; Harte-Hanks Communications, a direct marketing services firm; PCA International, one of the largest portrait photography companies in the U.S.; and Dupont, the chemical and bio-technology giant. Mr. Jarrell served as chairman and member of the Board of Directors of the Arizona Quality Alliance and as a member of the Arizona Governor’s Advisory Council on Quality. He is serving as an elder for the Presbyterian church and an elder commissioner to the Grand Canyon Presbytery in Phoenix. In 2008, he served as a commissioner to the 218th General Assembly. In 2008 and 2012, he participated in week-long mission trips to Honduras, where his team worked alongside native Hondurans to build floors, chimneys and latrines to improve public health in rural villages. Mr. Jarrell enjoys a number of things, including his family, which includes two granddaughters and a new grandson. He also enjoys stargazing and family history research. In 2003, he published a history of his family entitled “The Jarrell's of Southern West Virginia.” He also enjoys teaching because of his extensive background in business. He relates well to students and has many practical experiences to help them learn about business theory and application.
